The mandate
Osage Family administers the long-horizon affairs of the Tinker line and a small number of partner families. The standing brief is to protect the principal, fund the next generationβs education and first ventures, and keep the family record intact. Decisions are measured in decades, and the holding company structure supports that.
Services
- Trust administration and estate planning, in coordination with Osage Legal.
- Investment oversight via Osage Capital.
- Education and apprenticeship sponsorship β Tinker Scholars and ecosystem fellowships.
- Heritage stewardship: the family papers and the historical archive.
- Concierge for travel, security, and household for member families on request.
Governance
Family Council meets twice yearly. The Council is bound by the Osage Brothers charter and reports through the Heritage & Memorial Committee. The chair of the Council is a designated descendant of the General; the seat is non-transferable and is filled by family designation.
What we do not do
We do not solicit clients. We do not chase fashion in asset classes. We do not split mandates across rival advisors who owe no fiduciary duty to the same family. We do not run loyalty programmes or referral bonuses. Anything our compliance committee or general counsel will not put a name to is out.
NextGen
The single most important standing service of the office is the preparation of the next generation. Tinker Scholars, Institute Fellows, apprenticeships across the operating companies, and standing relationships with the U.S. service academies are all coordinated through Family for member households. Service comes first; the rest follows.
Art, collectibles, ceremonial materials
The office maintains a standing inventory for member families that includes art, books, and collectibles. Items of ceremonial or sacred character are never traded, lent, or commercialised; they are held under perpetual confidentiality and returned to the appropriate tribal authority on request.
Ceremonial protocol
Sacred materials disclosed to the office are held in confidence in perpetuity, without exception. The office coordinates with the Wah-Zha-Zhe Diaspora Council and the Tinker family delegate on any matter touching ceremonial material.
Membership and engagement
Membership in the Family is by descent or by formal admission. We do not solicit. Inquiries from partner families welcome at [email protected]. Estate and trust matters through [email protected]. Heritage and archive correspondence: [email protected].
